Hihi! How\u2019s it going, guys? Did you have a good week? There\u2019s been a lot going on this past week for me. To start off with, a very special piece of news\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s right! I was chosen (after applying for the hell of it) to be a speaker at the Boston Festival of Indie Games this month! You\u2019ll find me under my real name (gasp!?) on the Learns track of the event. My talk is all about storytelling and word choice in games, given with my unique perspective as a long time storyteller, as well as from the perspective of someone working in indie games. Because I\u2019m working on my presentation sort of out of the blue, my free writing time has been cut down a bit. That said, I\u2019m still doing my best to get a bit of everything done\u2026 Which probably isn\u2019t smart, but I\u2019m doing it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been keeping on track pretty well with game development recently, though I haven\u2019t had RPGmaker open for any of it. I decided to keep track of more than my inventory in database format. I just finished (or, I\u2019ve finally decided it\u2019s finished) my skill list yesterday. With just over eighty skills and spells, I think there\u2019s enough variety\u2026 Which I say as I think of another possible spell. Okay, maybe I\u2019m not done with the list yet. But, I\u2019m getting there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did try streaming Sandrock this week when the NDA was over. I say try because\u2026 It turned out really, really laggy. Because of this, the stream I planned to do yesterday didn\u2019t happen. But I have a plan B for sharing Sandrock with everyone! I just have to work on it. I\u2019ll let you know the details on that later. I\u2019m still in the planning and debating process with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was going to say \u2018that\u2019s all for now\u2019, but then I realized I forgot to mention. If you like avatar community sites (I mean the kind where you dress up, not based on the movies)\u2026 It\u2019s Lasria\u2019s<\/a> second year anniversary, so we\u2019re having a big event the next couple of weeks. Great time to join in on the fun and give it a go if you\u2019re interested!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
