How’s it going guys?

This week has been a roller coaster! I spent pretty much all my time working on my presentation and playing games. I realized I really need to talk to my therapist about my habit of stress eating, too. -.-; But finally, BostonFIG is safely concluded… And all in all, it was a lot of fun! I was super awkward during my talk and ad-libbed a bit despite having my speech in my hands, but I still had trouble looking at the camera. But, I was told by attendees and even my dad, who listened from the shadows, that I did a good job. It was really interesting seeing what people thought to ask me during Q&A time, too!

Of course, I wasn’t there just for my talk. I got to see a lot of interesting content, from how to make games more playable for the deaf and what it’s like to be a deaf game developer, to a step by step guide on how to use a program called Twine (which I have and haven’t touched yet), there was a lot of information to gather and learn, and a lot of nice people to meet. I even made some nice new friends- we played a couple hours of Jackbox games together after the event. (We played other games too at first!)

So… Actually, that’s basically all I have to say today. I was so nervous about BostonFIG, I didn’t really get much done… But now I have plenty of time to work on other things. I mean, BostonFIG was a lot of fun in general, and really educational, but… As much as I’d like to do it again sometime, I think I’m good with a break from events for a while.

Until next time- take care!

Hihi!
