Hi hello, everyone! As I said last week, I decided I want to do a weekly update every Sunday. Well guess what? It’s Sunday! So, time to update you on what I’ve been up to!
I’ve been doing slow and steady work on game dev this past week, but without opening RPGmaker even once. I don’t know why, I just can’t get myself to open it yet after a month of focusing on writing! Instead, I’ve been working in excel. I decided I wanted an outside inventory for my database. Turns out it’ll be pretty handy, because I’m changing more than just what items will be included. I decided to adjust the elements a slight bit. Now, instead of eight elements, there will be nine. I’m doing this because making Earth-based crafting recipes felt a little strange when I was including sand, leaves and grass depending on the item. So now the element list looks like this:
- Fire
- Water
- Earth
- Plant [New and TBN probably]
- Wind
- Ice
- Thunder
- Light [or Holy, debating the name here too]
- Chaos [AKA Darkness]
This of course means there may be more items to add yet, since I now have more mechanics to play around with. But, I have a good feeling about this. So, let’s see how it goes, shall we?
In other news, I restarted another writing project for a bit. Play or Die felt like it needed to be done again, especially since I came up with new ideas for how to work with it. Wish me luck? I also still have Nuru open. Add in my daydream document and you’ve got quite a lot of projects kept open at the same time!
Finally, I have something exciting to do this week… I’ll be streaming again on Wednesday! My NDA for a certain game is officially over on May 11th, and I’m super stoked to be able to share it. It looks like I’ll have to use OBS Studio instead of Streamlabs because Streamlabs doesn’t seem to find the program (I did a test with it without actually streaming anything). But, we’ll see how it goes.
I think that’s all for today. There’s other fun stuff on the horizon, though! I’m looking forward to so many things right now! Anyway, take care, everyone!
