Hihi! How’s it going guys?
Sorry I’ve been MIA the last few weeks. Real life drama can be a royal pain in the butt, especially when you’re trying to keep to a habit you’re not used to yet. I’m not going to get into the life drama, but I will tell you I got more work. So many projects to help with is a bit stressful, but I can handle it- they’re all fun projects, after all. Speaking of, though, I haven’t given up on mine either. In fact, I spent the better part of yesterday and this morning doing game dev things!
I’ve made a number of maps, populated them with NPCs, and started expanding some of the early ones to have multiple things to say depending on the situation. Some NPCs say different things depending on who is in your party at the time. Others vary based on where you are in the storyline. I’m trying to make it as immersing as possible!
It’s also almost the end of the month. That means a lot of things for me. For one, it means it’s close to time for another project meeting to discuss the progress made on one of the projects I’m part of. It also means CampNaNoWriMo is right around the corner. For me, that means a lot of things: I have a ton to write (though I made a very low goal this year, so I can still focus on work projects enough)… and postcards to send and receive! I’m going to actually look forward to getting the mail soon!
With all that said, I’d like to just say Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. My dad is my biggest supporter. He helps me brainstorm and plot, he helps me with my mental health, and he takes care of me like no one else. My dad’s a really amazing person. He deals with me and my health issues and shortfalls, while also dealing with his own slew of health problems.
Thank you, dad. <3
Your game looks neat. I wish you the best of luck on it.
I’m glad you have a great dad.
Congrats on more work, try not to get overworked/stressed though!
Your game sounds cool. I always like when NPC say different things like that in games.
Your dad sounds like an awesome dad too. =3
